Robin Johnson is our Athlete of the Month for October.

This is no surprise to anyone, this girl deserves some recognition!

Robin has been faithfully attending our 5:30am classes since the new year. She walks in every morning with a huge smile on her face, the most positive attitude you could ask for (at 5:30 in the morning), and such a go-get-it attitude. She is super welcoming to anyone who walks through our doors. She is always cheering on and motivating her fellow early-risers during and post workouts. Partnering with Robin in a workout is the best, you couldn’t ask for a more supportive partner.

Each WOD Robin tackles head-on. She doesn’t cherry pick, she doesn’t hit the snooze button in the morning to avoid her less than favorite movements or lifts.
What she does do, is get after it! The changes and improvements this woman has made is amazing! And she continues to amaze us coaches and the Big Rock members around her.
She is always looking to improve, go a little faster, lift a little heavier. And yes Robin, with your growing strength and determination,  your day will come when you get those pull ups mastered!

Robin’s CrossFit journey…

What do you do for fun?
I enjoy spending time with my family, working on any of the numerous projects around our home, baking, fishing, and the occasional girl’s night out.

When did you start at CrossFit Big Rock?
After much convincing by my husband, who insisted I would love CrossFit, my first day at the box was the 0530 class on January 12, 2016.

What is the biggest change you have noticed since coming?
Beside the inches lost, and the muscle gained?  The next best thing, I am a much happier person.

Do you have a short term goal for your CrossFit self?
To nail pull-ups!

If you could make up your own workout, what would it be?
This is a tough one but I’d definitely pick rowing and bench press as the components.

CFBR has been an important addition to my life.  I look forward to the classes, regardless of the WOD, because I know the coaches and members are there as support. Thank you CFBR coaches, members, and my husband for being right.
